*all ELC schedules are 5 days a week
- Tuition is calculated as an annual total which is divided, at no extra cost to families, by 11 equal monthly payments from August-June.
- Tuition for families who enroll after the first month of school will be prorated based on the annual tuition, divided by the number of remaining months in the school year
Discounts
- 20% discount for MPCSD staff
- 10% discount for 2nd concurrently enrolled sibling
Deposit
- A $1,500 non-refundable deposit must be provided to confirm a child’s space and will be credited towards the first month’s tuition (not applicable for tuition assistance applicants)
ELC Tuition Assistance
Tuition assistance and California State Preschool funding will be available to approximately 25% of enrolled families.
Eligible families must live in MPCSD School District Boundaries or be eligible to enroll in MPCSD through the Tinsley Transfer Program.
To qualify for the California State Preschool Program, monthly family incomes must be lower than:
- Family of 2: $8,071/monthly | $96,854/yearly
- Family of 3: $9,159/monthly | $109,904/yearly
- Family of 4: $10,612/monthly | $127,338/yearly
- Family of 5: $12,309/monthly | $147,712/yearly
- Family of 6: $14,007/monthly | $168,068/yearly
- Family of 7: $14,326/monthly | $171,906/yearly
- Family of 8: $14,644/monthly | $175,726/yearly
2026-27 eligibility requirements are subject to change based on California Department of Education
Or, to qualify for ELC tuition assistance on a sliding scale, yearly family income must be lower than 80% of San Mateo County Median Income:
- Family of 2: $10,446/monthly | $125,350/yearly
- Family of 3: $11,750/monthly | $141,000/yearly
- Family of 4: $13,054/monthly | $156,650/yearly
- Family of 5: $14,100/monthly | $169,200/yearly
- Family of 6: $15,146/monthly | $181,750/yearly
- Family of 7: $16,188/monthly | $194,350/yearly
- Family of 8: $17,233/monthly | $206,800/yearly
